I'm not much of a pasta person - but I respect wanting to get out of the food rut.

This afternoon I was looking through a cookbook that comes from a restaurant in the uber-foodie region of Napa Valley. I realized that a lot of the ingredients to make some of the dishes I just didn't have in my pantry. Where's the champagne vinegar? All I have in my lowly kitchen is apple cider vinegar, rice vinegar, white vinegar, red wine vinegar and balsamic vinegar. Where's the truffle oil? I have olive oil, canola oil, coconut oil and walnut oil. That's it.

If I really was going to make some of these recipes I'd have to go over to "Whole Paycheck" and stock up on stuff I'd probably only use once and then not again. Sigh.... guess it was nice looking at the pictures anyway.

We enjoy your blog. Could you please send me your email address. I’m with a San Diego blog/start-up and we were wondering if we could repost a few of your blogs. I’ll elaborate in an email.
